Do you have a bad habit? You may do so.
In fact, every person on this planet has a bad habit or at least, will develop
one at some point in life. Habits are created because of the performance of
certain actions on a regular basis. When the mind and the body becomes
accustomed to it, this habit becomes established and thus, difficult to break.
Typically, this habit is harmless and can
even be productive, because they open the road to learning. Only when they
become counter-productive and affect a person's development and its
contribution to the environment that needs to change habits. Are you guilty of
bad habits? Here are the most common routine that people make:
Delay
Procrastination is one of the most
popular regular habit that people develop. It is also one of the most damaging,
even though most of the effects felt at a later stage. People with
procrastination habits tend to avoid certain tasks, either because these tasks
are too difficult, too easy or just not convenient enough. Sometimes, when the
habit is so well established, avoid becoming automatic, regardless of the level
of difficulty of the task. The result? Waste of time and missed opportunities.
Negative thinking
Negative thinking is often a regular
habit in people who have had a difficult or painful experience. Often, there is
a sense of foreboding or catastrophic failure of the person who has a negative
attitude. They tend to see and treat things as if they are worthless, does not
work and a total waste of time, regardless of their real value. People who have
developed the habit of negative thinking often find it difficult to see the
good things and preferred to dwell on the negative aspects.
Impulsive
Another common habit that can be costly
is the impulsive, often found in people who have not been able to develop a
good sense of maturity and acceptance. Difficult for them to learn to stand
back, take some time to think and decide and then take action. For them, the
first thought that comes to mind is often the best option so that they carry
out the thought, heedless of the consequences.
Satisfaction
Complacency is often marked by
subservience, the tendency to stand back and satisfied. People who are
dissatisfied tend to be content with themselves and their current condition,
never venturing out to see what else they can offer their environment.
Individuals are satisfied is the complete opposite of go-getters. They tend to
not like change and prefer to stay within the boundaries of their comfort zone.
Applying a false boundary
People who are afraid to go beyond what
they have to be properly established and effectively tend to apply a false
upper limit themselves. These habits limit their perspective of things and make
them refuse to accept certain truths and take advantage of certain
opportunities. In their minds, it is often difficult to go beyond the
boundaries and exert more effort because, as is often believed, it's just not
done. They think that whatever business they will provide effective and safe.
Poor personal hygiene
Routine that involves personal hygiene
are taught and learned in early childhood. Sometimes, they can also be
strengthened in the future, when people learn about their benefits. All the
same, if a person fails to develop personal hygiene, not only a health risk, it
is also a reflection of his character.
However, unlike most regular habits, type
of practice may be the easiest to change, given that many people usually
develop self-awareness which is often translated later for self-care and
development. Sometimes, social factors such as embarrassment and shame can also
help bring about a change in habits.
Physically healthy habits
Certain habits affect health in a
negative way, such as smoking, excessive drinking and eating. This habit can be
developed early in life (like overeating) or they can be obtained later (such
as smoking, drinking or taking drugs). They become problems when they turn into
an addiction or physical health began to threaten them. Habits like these may
or may not be accompanied by emotional causes or attachment, but they become so
established that they are often one of the most difficult to break.
