Changing a Process

Some people think that life is permanent, where things will never change and the things that happened today will be the same tomorrow or the next day. What they fail to realize that nothing is permanent in this world except change. And if you think you can not cope with change, maybe these tips can help you through.

Accept Change as a Reality

Most people probably have a pre-set ideas of what is in front of them, what will happen in the future, and what is expected based on the things that happen.

However, problems occur when a person, a pre-set ideas are fixed, the experience changes, whether drastic or anticipated. This is because people who do not accept as real change will have difficulty in adapting. Therefore, it is suggested that changes should be accepted as true and clear.

Change is a Process

Change is rooted in psychology, in which the behavior, thought patterns, and personal perspectives to be considered.

Experts say that for change to take effect in the most effective, individuals must learn and understand that it is a process. Usually, the change appears as a three-step process. While others may have different categories at each stage, still, the change can be boiled down into three stages.

1. Decision-making

The first stage is the decision-making. Some experts say this is the unfreezing stage, where pre-conceived ideas or thought patterns called taken apart and the individual is forced to overcome the passive and interactive action. Greatest action an individual can make is when he makes decisions.

When making decisions, you should consider several things. To adapt to change, you should avoid defense mechanisms. In this situation, the more defensive people often reflect on how they hate change. They do not want to let go of their old ways.

However, when people are ready for change and has decided to accept it, they are more than willing to try new things and be more open to new information.

2. Preparation

To affect change, you must learn how to prepare for the event. Experts say that it is more tolerable if you know where you are heading. Therefore, it is important that you have a clear understanding of your goals and objectives.

To do this, you must have a deeper analysis of what is happening in the present. Analyze trends and predict changes that might occur, say, in two to three years. With this, the phase transition will be easier to handle because you have been programmed or set your mind that things will happen.

Preparation involves a significant effort to effect change, readiness to engage in the change in the next few months, or the onset of setting goals.

3. Act

Change will not occur if the individual does not take action. At this stage, individuals are ready to engage the power of the will and develop a sense of independence. That's because they finally decided on something, be prepared for them, and are now ready to take action. This is where the actual process of change occurs.

For example, if you want to change the quality of your life, you might start by deciding what action should you do to prevent change. Say, if you want to become a singer to get more income. Then prepare yourself for the main event. After that, take action subject to your readiness to take action and start applying for a job singing in a different organization.

Keep in mind that each phase in the process of having their own readiness. This will be the main factor that will motivate you to move to the next level. This shows that people can make their own changes. All they have to do is follow three simple steps in the process of change and see what kind of future lies ahead. As they say, the future is in your hands.
