Everyone knows that it is bad to swear or
curse, but for some people, cursing is a habit that seems to be a part of their
very identity. Some people just come to accept that they can not stop the curse
and the others just have to put up with them. But this is not true, it is
possible to stop cursing.
Here are some ideas on how to stop
cursing:
1. Acknowledge that you have a problem.
Perhaps what is to swear in some occasions, there are some times that you can
not express your feelings better than the oath, but it could be a problem if
you utter profanities every minute. Know that it is a problem that needs to be
solved.
2. Investigate why you swear. Many people
actually do not know why they were condemned in the first place. Some may just
hang around people who have a habit of swearing. Others have been turned into a
normal expression of the oath, the amount equivalent to the soft expression,
such as large or unusual. Once you determine the source of your habits, you
will be able to solve the problem.
3. Subject yourself to the punishment a
little when you swear. Some people who want to stop the bad habit of
self-punishment by punishing themselves every time they make a habit of it. How
to put a quarter in the jar every time you say the word profane. At the end of
every month to see how much you've put in a jar. If you see that you are
putting in less time each month, then you condemn less. You can then donate
money to charity or use it to buy beer.
4. Try to stop cursing for 21 days.
According to research, it takes 21 days for a habit to be broken. So if this is
true, you only have 21 days free vowed to stop cursing. If not, you have at
least 21 days from the net said to be proud of and it could be a start.
5. Learn more dangerous words of
expression. Rather than throw dirty words, why not replace it with something
neutral. Maybe even a silly word like flowers or soup. That would be way better
than a bad word.
Bad habits are not likely to stop. It is
indeed possible for you to stop cursing if you put your mind and heart into it.
